David Moss2020-08-16OpenAlex

We observe extremely high two photon absorption (TPA) of BiOBr nanoflakes using the Z-scan technique. We report a TPA coefficient as high as ~ 6.697 × 10-7 m/W – more than an order of magnitude larger than that of other 2D materials such as graphene and transition metal dichalcogenides.

When More Is Less: Nonmonotonic Trends in Adsorption on Clusters in Alloy Surfaces

Abigale Monasterial、Calla Hinderks、Songkun Viriyavaree 等 4 位作者2020-08-16ChemRxiv

Single-atom alloys can be effective catalysts and have been compared to supported single-atom catalysts. To rationally design single-atom alloys and other surfaces with localized ensembles, it is crucial to understand variations in reactivity when varying the dopant and the ensemble size. Here, we examined hydrogen ad…

Xiaojian Bai、R. S. Fishman、Gabriele Sala 等 10 位作者2020-08-16arXiv (Cornell University)

We report a comprehensive inelastic neutron scattering study of the hybrid molecule-based multiferroic compound (ND4)2FeCl5D2O in the zero-field incommensurate cycloidal phase and the high-field quasi-collinear phase. The spontaneous electric polarization changes its direction concurrently with the field-induced magne…

Kinetic Analysis of the VLS Growth of Semiconducting Nanowires

Dhayalan Shakthivel、Adamos Christou、Ravinder Dahiya2020-08-16OpenAlex

Vapour-Liquid-Solid (VLS) growth mechanism is a popular method for the growth of inorganic semiconducting nanowires (NWs) in the diameter range of sub-100 nm. A kinetic model is presented for the growth of elemental (Si) and binary (SiOx) NWs by incorporating all the atomistic parameters. Importantly, the model connec…
