Vibrational study of phase transitions in (CH3)3NHNO3

M. Mylrajan、T. K. K. Srinivasan1988-08-01The Journal of Chemical Physics

(CH3)3 NHNO3 belongs to the monoclinic system with space group P21/c (C52h ) with four molecules per unit cell. Raman and infrared spectra (10–5000 cm−1) of single crystals and polycrystalline samples of (CH3)3 NHNO3 and of its N-deuterated derivative were investigated in the temperature range 90–415 K. Assignments of…

Electrolytic Copper Migration in Accelerated Tests: I . Polyethylene Glycol‐400 Doped with Ammonium Perchlorate

Bruce K. Vaughen、J. A. Roth、J. J. Steppan 等 5 位作者1988-08-01Journal of The Electrochemical Society

Electrolytic metal migration is a mechanism which causes failure in microelectronic devices. This failure mechanism results in dendritic growths which bridge the electrode spacing between adjacent conductors on an insulating substrate and produce electrical failure. Accelerated life tests have been developed to study…

Semiconductor alloys for fast thermal sensors

S. Krishnamurthy、A. Sher、Marc Madou 等 4 位作者1988-08-01Journal of Applied Physics

The electron mobility in the semiconductor alloys near compositions where the direct-to-indirect gap transition takes place can be a rapidly varying function of lattice temperature. Electron mobility limited by scattering mechanisms such as acoustic phonons, optical phonons, and alloy disorder is calculated for severa…

Corrosion behaviour of the aluminium alloy AA 6351 in glycol/water solutions degraded at elevated temperature

C. Monticelli、G. Brunoro、A. Frignani 等 4 位作者1988-08-01Materials and Corrosion

Abstract A research programme has been developed to characterize the corrosion behaviour of the metals most widely used in solar collector systems. Common heat transfer fluids such as glycol/water solutions show a low aggressivity, unless pollution or high temperature exposure (degradation) occur. This paper deals wit…

Metal-Metal Bonds in Metalloporphyrins

Roger Guilard、Karl M. Kadish1988-08-01Comments on Inorganic Chemistry

The chemistry of metal-metal bonded metalloporphyrins has undergone significant development during the last decade. The synthesis, chemical reactivity, physical properties and electrochemistry of metal-metal bonded metalloporphyrins containing both σ and donor-acceptor bonds are presented. These new classes of metallo…

Dielectric slab in a parallel-plate condenser

Constantino A. Utreras-Díaz1988-08-01American Journal of Physics

The problem of a dielectric slab inside a parallel-plate capacitor is considered from the point of view of a simple force calculation. The usual method of presenting this problem, found in most textbooks, is via energy considerations. The method presented here allows corrections to the well-known result to be obtained.

Rapid Solidification of (2-Hydroxyethyl)trimethylammonium Silicate

Isao Hasegawa、Sumio Sakka1988-08-01Chemistry Letters

Abstract A large amount of solids of (2-hydroxyethyl)trimethylammonium silicate, whose silicate skeleton has the double four-membered ring structure, was abruptly separated out from the mixed solution of (2-hydroxyethyl)trimethylammonium hydroxide aqueous solution and tetraethoxysilane after a few hours of stirring.

Hard magnetic properties of Nd-Co-B materials

C. D. Fuerst、J. F. Herbst1988-08-01Journal of Applied Physics

A systematic investigation of the magnetic properties of neodymium-cobalt-boron alloys rapidly solidified by melt spinning is reported. Room-temperature coercivities and energy products as large as 10.2 kOe and 5.2 MGOe, respectively, have been observed in ribbons comprised primarily of tetragonal Nd2Co14B. We find th…

The pentalene derivative 2 is only inductively stabilized. It was obtained by reaction of the dihydro derivative 1 with nickel peroxide. Comparison of the spectroscopic data with the results of MNDO calculations indicates that the Kekulé structure shown here dominates; that is, the bonds are fixed.

Melt rheological properties of nickel powder filled polypropylene composites

S. N. Maiti、P. K. Mahapatro1988-08-01Polymer Composites

Abstract The melt rheological properties of nickel powder filled polypropylene composites were investigated. The effect of filler concentration on shear stress‐shear rate data, melt viscosity and melt elasticity parameters were determined by using a capillary rheometer. The study shows that the materials follow a powe…
