Analysis of optical spectra from single crystals of Rhodopseudomonas viridis reaction centers

Absorption spectra and light-induced absorbance changes of crystals from Rhodopseudomonas viridis reaction centers are recorded. A theoretical analysis of the absorption and circular dichroism spectra is presented, yielding a consistent picture of spectroscopic and structural information.

Nematic liquid crystals in a stochastic magnetic field: Spatial correlations

The stationary spatial correlations of the director field of a nematic liquid crystal near the Freedericksz transition in a magnetic field with a time-dependent random component are studied by means of a stochastic dynamical model.
