The synthesis and crystal structure of diaquacobalt tetracyanonickelate tetrahydrate are reported. The structure of Co(H2O)2Ni(CN)4.4H2O is made up of alternating metal cyanide sheets and layers of hydrogen-bonded water molecules. The title compound is isostructural with Cd(H2O)2Ni(CN)4·4H2O.
