Effects of Annealing Temperature on Microstructure and Electrical and Optical Properties of Radio‐Frequency‐Sputtered Tin‐Doped Indium Oxide Films

Jong‐Gab Na、Y.-R. Cho、Young Ho Kim 等 5 位作者1989-04-01Journal of the American Ceramic Society

Indium tin oxide (ITO) films (0.3 μm thick), with a doping level of 28 mol% SnO 2 , were prepared by a radio frequency magnetron sputtering mehthod. The effects of postannealing on the microstructure and the electrical properties of the ITO films were investigated. The as‐sputtered film showed an amorphous structure,…

Phase Equilibria and Phase Transformation in the Aluminum Nitride‐Aluminum Oxycarbide Pseudobinary System

Shih‐Yee Kuo、Anil V. Virkar1989-04-01Journal of the American Ceramic Society

Samples in the pseudobinary AIN–AI 2 OC were fabricated by hot‐pressing mixtures of ANI, AI 4 C 3 , and AI 2 O 3 powders in graphite dies in an atmosphere of nitrogen. The resulting dense samples were subjected to thermal treatments over a range of temperatures from 1550° to 1950°C. The hot‐pressed as well as annealed…

DRYING METHODS PRESERVING THE TEXTURAL PROPERTIES OF GELS

G.M. Pajonk1989-04-01Le Journal de Physique Colloques

To preserve more or less the gels textural properties during their drying step three main methods can be applied which differ roughly by the temperature and pressure range in which they are conducted. In increasing temperatures and pressures ranking one may distinguish : i) the freeze drying process giving "cryogels"…

Elastic Properties of Alkali Phosphomolybdate Glasses

K. V. Damodaran、K. J. Rao1989-04-01Journal of the American Ceramic Society

Ultrasonic velocities at 10 MHz have been measured in two series of lithium, sodium, and potassium phosphomolybdate glasses with two fixed P 2 O 5 concentrations. Elastic moduli, Poisson's ratio, and Debye temperature have been calculated. The composition dependence of most of the properties of lithium glasses exhibit…

EXAFS and Mössbauer spectroscopic study of Febearing tetrahedrites

John Charnock、C. David Garner、R. A. D. Pattrick 等 4 位作者1989-04-01Mineralogical Magazine

Abstract EXAFS and Mössbauer data on synthetic silver-rich tetrahedrite, (Cu, Ag) 10+x Fe 2−x Sb 4 S 13 , reveal the presence of Fe 2+ and Fe 3+ the former occupying trigonal planar sites and the latter tetrahedral sites. There is also a clear relationship between increased silver substitution and an increase in Fe 2+…

Corrosion Behavior of Aluminum in the Presence of Accelerating Metal Cations and Inhibition

M.G.A. Khedr、A. M. S. Lashien1989-04-01Journal of The Electrochemical Society

The effect of some transition and heavy metal cations on the dissolution of aluminum has been investigated in neutral and acid Cl − solutions by potentiodynamic polarization, gravimetric and thermometric measurements, and surface examination by SEM. At low cation concentrations, deposition of the metals corresponding…

Insulator Pollution Performance at High Altitude: Major Trends

H.P. Mercure1989-04-01IEEE Power Engineering Review

A survey of the data available from the literature was conducted in order to assess major trends in insulator performance with altitude. The literature comprised tests on individual insulator strings both under natural and artificial conditions along with actual live-in performance. The major trends reported here sugg…

Aqueous-Chemical Control of the Tetrahedral-Aluminum Content Of Quartz, Halloysite, and other Low-Temperature Silicates

Enrique Merino、Colin C. Harvey、Haydn H. Murray1989-04-01Clays and Clay Minerals

Abstract Aqueous Al passes from octahedral to tetrahedral coordination over a narrow pH interval, or threshold. This interval is 5.5–6.5 at 25°C and shifts to lower pH as temperature increases. The concentration of aqueous tetrahedrally coordinated Al is a quasi-step function of the solution pH, and, by the mass-actio…
