Two-dimensional organization of [ZnGe3S9(H2O)]4– supertetrahedral clusters templated by a metal complex

Nanfeng Zheng、Xianhui Bu、Pingyun Feng2005-01-01Chemical Communications

Under the structure-directing effect of a metal complex formed in situ, supertetrahedral [ZnGe3S6(H2O)(S3)(1/2)]1- clusters alternate with tetrahedral Zn(H2O)(S3)(1/2)1- units to form a two-dimensional wide bandgap semiconductor that shows photocatalytic activity for H2 production from aqueous solution.

Mechanisms of chromia scale failure during the course of 15–18Cr ferritic stainless steel oxidation in water vapour

A. Galerie、S. Henry、Y. Wouters 等 6 位作者2005-01-01Materials at High Temperatures

Breakaway oxidation of 15–18 % Cr ferritic stainless steels occurring in water vapour is described in the temperature range 800–1000°C. The failure of the protective chromia scale leads to iron oxide(s) nodule formation with accelerated kinetics. Characterisation of the (Fe,Cr)2O3 initial oxide scale by Raman spectros…

Vadapalli Chandrasekhar、Nagarajan Loganathan、Kandasamy Gopal 等 5 位作者2005-01-01Dalton Transactions

The synthesis and structure of a novel decanuclear copper(II) cage is reported. The assembly of the cage is facilitated by the cumulative coordinative interaction of tert-butyl phosphonate, 2-pyridylpyrazole and hydroxide ligands with copper(II) ions. Magnetic studies of this decanuclear copper(II) cage indicate compl…

Well-defined macroporous ceramics consisting of TiO2 and ZrO2 have been fabricated by two methods. One is via a template-assisted colloidal processing technique and the other is via a hetero-coagulation of template/ceramic particle colloidal processing. The former technique is as follows. Close-packed polymer spheres…

In a previous study, we found that different collagen gels produced using collagen fibrils extracted from 1-, 4- and 8-month-old rat tails essentially influenced the morphogenesis of epithelial cells. More importantly, the youngest collagen gel induces the highest level of cell apoptosis. The objective of this study w…
