Eiji Ikada、Yukihiko TAKEUCHI、Michio Ashida1992-01-01KOBUNSHI RONBUNSHU

Temperature dependences of magnetic properties and Kerr spectra of MnBi and MnBiAl films below room temperature were investigated. It was found that the saturation magnetization increases about 5% and the Kerr rotation at wavelength 700 nm increases about 20% for MnBi film when the temperature is decreased from 300 to…

A Brief Review of Radiation-Induced Cavity Swelling and Hardening in Copper and Copper Alloys

S.J. Zinkle1992-01-01OpenAlex

The literature on radiation-induced swelling and hardening in copper and its alloys is reviewed. Void formation does not occur during irradiation of copper unless suitable impurity atoms such as oxygen or helium are present. Void formation occurs for neutron irradiation temperatures of 180 to 550°C, with peak swelling…

Effects of phenylethynylsilicon compounds on heat-curable silicone rubber. Part 2.–Phenylethynylvinyldiethoxysilane

Shuqi Yu、Shengyu Feng、Shijun Li 等 5 位作者1992-01-01Journal of Materials Chemistry

The effects of (phenylethynyl)vinyldiethoxysilane (PVDES) as a crosslinker on heat-curable silicone rubber (HCSR) have been investigated. PVDES, which can, in certain specific amounts, improve the mechanical properties of vulcanizates, is a good crosslinker of silicone rubber. The tensile strength and the tear strengt…

Kinetics and mechanism of the photochromic transformations of N-salicylidene-4-hydroxy-3,5-dimethylaniline and its complex with uranium(VI) dioxide

I. V. Khudyakov、N. J. TURRO、I. K. Yakushenko1992-01-01Journal of Photochemistry and Photobiology A Chemistry

The title compounds were prepared and some of their photophysical and photochemical properties studied. The anil (LH) and its complex with uranium (C) were found to possess very similar spectral and kinetic characteristics, namely absorption and luminescence spectra, photoisomer spectra and isomerization kinetics. Fro…

Mechanical Properties of Particulate Reinforced SiC-based Ceramic Composites.

Masanori Ueki、Hidehiro Endo1992-01-01ISIJ International

SiC based ceramics have excellent properties in strength, hardness and chemical stability at high temperatures. Such attractive characteristics make them promising condidates for high temperature structural or wear and corrosion-resistant materials. On the other hand, carbides, nitrides or borides of transition metals…

Effects of Vapour Deposited and Bulk Alloyed Ruthenium on Corrosion Resistance of a Duplex Stainless Steel in Sulphuric Acid

J.H. Potgieter、E.J. Wentzel、G. Myburg1992-01-01Surface Engineering

An investigation was carried out to assess the corrosion resistance of duplex stainless steel that was surface alloyed with ruthenium. It was found that vapour deposited ruthenium on the surface of a duplex stainless steel improved the corrosion resistance, especially if the alloy is annealed after surface deposition…

Norikazu Nishino、Hisakazu Mihara、Ryuji Hasegawa 等 5 位作者1992-01-01Journal of the Chemical Society Chemical Communications

L-Amino acids combined with the atropisomeric porphyrins, meso-tetra(o-aminophenyl)porphyrin and meso-tetra(o-carboxyphenyl)porphyrin, induced circular dichroism at the Soret band of porphyrins to an extent which depended on conformation.

Corrosion of steel in EDTA

J. W. Palmer、P. J. Boden1992-01-01British Corrosion Journal

Alkaline ethylenediamine tetra-acetic acid (EDTA) is a useful chemical cleaning agent used in many heat exchange systems for removing magnetite. For steel systems, especially at temperatures in the range 70–150°C, high corrosion rates can occur. It has been assumed, to date, that this is due to chelation effects but t…

Modelling High Temperature RollingTextures of FCC Metals

Cl. Maurice、J.H. Driver、László S. Tóth1992-01-01Texture Stress and Microstructure

A partially relaxed constraints grain deformation model is proposed to explain the influence of temperature on the rolling textures of fcc metals. The effects of the grain plastic shear in the TD/RD plane and the role of the rate sensitivity of crystallographic slip on the evolution of the texture have been investigat…
