Organorhenium(vii) and organomolybdenum(vi) oxides: syntheses and application in olefin epoxidation

Fritz E. Kühn、Ana M. Santos、Wolfgang A. Herrmann2005-01-01Dalton Transactions

The first members of the classes of the organorhenium(VII) oxides and organomolybdenum(VI) oxides were described during the 1960s and 1970s. However, despite the fact that methyltrioxorhenium(VII)(MTO) is probably the best examined organometallic oxide known, many of its derivatives as well as the Mo congeners were no…

Enantioselective segregation in achiral nematic liquid crystals

V. Görtz、John W. Goodby2005-01-01Chemical Communications

The elusive biaxial nematic liquid crystal phase was recently discovered in a family of substituted oxadiazoles. Our investigations of these materials show that the achiral biaxial nematic phase can segregate into chiral domains of opposite handedness, thereby demonstrating that the liquid-like nematic phase exhibits…

Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Cu-Ni-Si Alloys

Chihiro Watanabe、Hiroaki HIRAIDE、Zuogui ZHANG 等 4 位作者2005-01-01Journal of the Society of Materials Science Japan

The microstructure and mechanical properties of thermo-mechanically treated Cu-2.0mass%Ni-0.5mass%Si alloys with and without 0.1mass%Mg have been investigated. The Mg addition increases the formation rate of disk-shaped Ni2Si particles. The Mg addition produces higher strength and resistance to stress relaxation. The…

Novel large pore cage type mesoporous carbon molecular sieves, carbon nanocage, (CKT) with various pore diameters have been prepared from KIT-5 as inorganic templates synthesized at different temperature. It has been found that the textural parameters of the above mesoporous carbons can be easily tuned by a simple adj…

Fluorescence resonance energy transfer between a quantum dot donor and a dye acceptor attached to DNA

Dejian Zhou、Joe D. Piper、Chris Abell 等 6 位作者2005-01-01Chemical Communications

We show that direct coupling of a dye-labelled DNA (acceptor) to a quantum dot (QD) donor significantly reduces the donor-acceptor distance and improves the FRET efficiency: a highly efficient FRET (approximately 88%) at a low acceptor-to-donor ratio of 2 has been achieved at the single-molecule level.

Cu Wettability and Diffusion Barrier Property of Ru Thin Film for Cu Metallization

Hoon Kim、Toshihiko Koseki、Takayuki Ohba 等 7 位作者2005-01-01Journal of The Electrochemical Society

The main issue of Cu metallization is the electromigration of Cu through the interface between Cu and the barrier or capping layer. To improve electromigration resistance at the Cu and barrier metal interface, insertion of a glue layer which enhances the adhesion of Cu onto the under layer may be effective. The wettab…
