Elastic and viscoelastic properties of amorphous selenium and identification of the phase transition between ring and chain structures

R. Böhmer、C. Austen Angell1993-09-01Physical review. B, Condensed matter

Using a broadband mechanical spectrometer, the tensile modulus and stress relaxation of amorphous selenium were studied in the glass transformation range. Bimodal spectra were recorded under isothermal conditions in the time range ${10}^{\mathrm{\ensuremath{-}}1}$ st${10}^{5}$ s. It was found that the structural equil…

Automated docking in crystallography: Analysis of the substrates of aconitase

David S. Goodsell、Hans Lauble、C. David Stout 等 4 位作者1993-09-01Proteins Structure Function and Bioinformatics

Automated docking of substrates to proteins of known structure aids the process of crystallographic analysis in two ways. First, automated docking can be used to generate a small number of starting models for substrates using only protein coordinates from an early stage of refinement. Second, automated docking provide…

Autocrine control of wound repair by insulin-like growth factor I in cultured endothelial cells

W. Robert Taylor、R. Wayne Alexander1993-09-01American Journal of Physiology-Cell Physiology

The repair process of the vascular endothelium is modulated by growth factors from both endogenous (within the vessel wall) and exogenous (blood borne) sources. We utilized a tissue culture model of endothelial wounding to gain further insight into the potential autocrine control of proliferation during wound repair.…
