Fu Cai Wang、M Feve、T. M. Lam 等 4 位作者1994-06-01Journal of Polymer Science Part B Polymer Physics

Abstract Fourier‐transform infrared spectral studies of an amorphous linear aromatic polyurethane at various temperatures were performed. Hydrogen bonding was studied in the NH stretching (3347 cm −1 ) and the bending (1535 cm −1 ) regions, using the band decomposition technique. The variations with temperature are u…

Effects of α‐Sic versus β‐Sic Starting Powders on Microstructure and Fracture Toughness of Sic Sintered with Al 2 O 3 ‐Y 2 O 3 Additives

Seung Kun Lee、Chong Hee Kim1994-06-01Journal of the American Ceramic Society

Dense Sic ceramics were obtained by pressureless sintering of β‐Sic and α‐Sic powders as starting materials using Al 2 O 3 ‐Y 2 O 3 additives. The resulting microstructure depended highly on the polytypes of the starting SiC powders. The microstructure of SiC obtained from α‐SiC powder was composed of equiaxed grains,…

Spectroscopy and dynamics ofCr4+:Y3Al5O12

Hergen Eilers、U. Hömmerich、Stuart M. Jacobsen 等 6 位作者1994-06-01Physical review. B, Condensed matter

We present a spectroscopic overview of ${\mathrm{Cr}}^{4+}$-doped ${\mathrm{Y}}_{3}$${\mathrm{Al}}_{5}$${\mathrm{O}}_{12}$ (YAG), a new laser material for the near-infrared region (NIR). It is found that only 2% of the Cr ions are tetrahedrally coordinated ${\mathrm{Cr}}^{4+}$. However, the optical spectra are dominat…

Synthesis of Europium(III) Chelates Suitable for Labeling of Bioactive Molecules

Harri Takalo、Veli-Matti Mukkala、Heikki Mikola 等 5 位作者1994-06-01Bioconjugate Chemistry

Two different kinds of europium(III) chelates, luminescent and nonluminescent, were prepared. The chelates were coupled to bioanalytical reagents, such as antibodies, after activations of the amino group on the chelates with thiophosgene,2,4,6-trichloro-1,3,5-triazine, or iodoacetic anhydride. The reactivities of the…

A FTIR study of PVDF irradiated by means of swift heavy ions

N. Betz、A. Le Moël、E. Balanzat 等 7 位作者1994-06-01Journal of Polymer Science Part B Polymer Physics

Abstract Poly(vinylidene difluoride) (PVDF) films were irradiated by means of heavy ions (in the electronic stopping‐power range) and electrons. Both types of ionizing radiation induce in the polymer film ionizations and excitations, but swift heavy ions induce a huge density of excitations and ionizations along the i…

Methodology for Relating the Tensile Constitutive Behavior of Ceramic‐Matrix Composites to Constituent Properties

A.G. Evans、Jean‐Marc Domergue、Emmanuel Vagaggini1994-06-01Journal of the American Ceramic Society

A methodology for the straightforward and consistent evaluation of the constituent properties of ceramic‐matrix composites (CMCs) is summarized, based on analyses from the literature. The results provide a constitutive law capable of simulating the stresshain behavior of these materials. The approach is illustrated us…

Diffusion of Sorbates in Zeolites Y and A: Novel Dependence on Sorbate Size and Strength of Sorbate-Zeolite Interaction

S. Yashonath、Prakriteswar Santikary1994-06-01The Journal of Physical Chemistry

A systematic investigation of monatomic spherical sorbates in the supercages of zeolites Y and A by molecular dynamics technique is presented. Rates of intercage diffusion, rates of cage visits, and the diffusion coefficients have been calculated as a function of the sorbate-zeolite interaction strength. These propert…

Role of the interaction range in the shaping of phase diagrams in simple fluids. The hard sphere Yukawa fluid as a case study

E. Lomba、N. G. Almarza1994-06-01The Journal of Chemical Physics

We have investigated the influence of the interaction range on the shape of the phase diagram in a system of particles that interact via a hard-sphere potential plus an attractive Yukawa interaction. The gas–liquid phase diagram is evaluated both by Gibbs ensemble Monte Carlo simulation and reference hypernetted chain…
