PHOSPHATE GLASSES AND WATER

G. Palavit1996-01-01Phosphorus Research Bulletin

The causes and mechanism of hygroscopicity of binary ultraphosphate glasses are difficult to study. This is due, in particular, to the formation of a thin layer of partially hydrolyzed glass with physisorbed water. 1H MAS NMR is more suitable than IRTF spectroscopy to investigate very hygroscopic glasses. In absence o…

Synthesis and spectroscopic characterisation of MoO 3 thin films

Antonino Gulino、Guglielmo G. Condorelli、Ignazio L. Fragalà1996-01-01Journal of Materials Chemistry

MoO2(acac)2 has been used as a precursor for the one-step MOCVD of silica- and zirconia-supported MoO3. Pure films were obtained by suitable control of the deposition parameters. The films were characterised by UV-VIS spectroscopy, XRD, SEM, wavelength-dispersive X-ray fluorescence analysis and XPS. Silica-supported M…

Effect of χ-Phase Precipitation on Elastic Modulus of Cu–Al–Ni–(Ti)–(Mn) Shape Memory Alloys

Iñaki Hurtado、J. Van Humbeeck、Petar Ratchev 等 4 位作者1996-01-01Materials Transactions JIM

Cu–Al–Ni shape memory alloys present a minimum in their elastic modulus during the martensitic transformation, and the values in both the martensite and high temperature β-phase, follow the same trend. The addition of Ti, as grain refiner, produces χ-phase precipitates which substantially modify the elastic modulus pr…

Glassy State and Glass Transition-Its Elucidation and New Applications. II. Amorphous Molecular Materials: Synthesis and Morphological Changes of a Novel Organic .PI.-Electron System, 1,3,5-Tri(N-carbazolyl)benzene.

Study of the molecular weight distribution of polystyrene grafted by means of swift heavy ions

C. Ducouret、N. Betz、A. Le Moël1996-01-01Journal de Chimie Physique

Thin poly(vinylidene fluoride) films were irradiated with swift heavy ions in order to induce along the ion path the formation of radicals which can initiate the grafting of styrene. Using size exclusion chromatography, we have studied the influence of irradiation (dose, type of ion) and kinetic (grafting time, monome…
