圧密化木材の物性に関する研究(2)ブナとスギとの違いについて

本稿では,ブナの圧密化前後の硬さや結晶化度等の物性を評価し,スギを用いて行った既報の研究のそれぞれと比較検討した。その結果,ブナの硬さは圧密化によって高くなり,スギの晩材と同様の物性変化を示すことが分かった。これは圧密化前の密度が関係していると考えられる。また,ブナの結晶化度は圧密化によって高くなり,圧密化前後の値は晩材よりも早材に近い値を示すことが分かった。
