Hee Young Kim、Yoshinori Ohmatsu、Jae Il Kim 等 5 位作者2004-01-01MATERIALS TRANSACTIONS

Mechanical properties and shape memory behavior of Ti-Mo-Ga alloys were investigated in order to develop Ni-free biomedical shape memory alloys. The Ti-Mo-Ga alloys were fabricated by arc melting method. The ingots were cold-rolled up to 95% reduction in thickness. The cold-rolled specimens were heat treated in the te…

Emrah Özensoy、D. Wayne Goodman2004-01-01Physical Chemistry Chemical Physics

CO adsorption, NO adsorption and CO + NO reaction on various Pd model catalysts have been studied using vibrational spectroscopy from ultrahigh vacuum (UHV) up to elevated pressures (∼1 bar) and the kinetics of the reaction compared with the conventional high surface area Pd/γ-Al2O3 catalysts. The structure sensitivit…

Novel Microcellular Ceramics from a Silicone Resin

Paolo Colombo、Enrico Bernardo、Lisa Biasetto2004-01-01Journal of the American Ceramic Society

Microcellular silicon oxycarbide open cell ceramic foams were fabricated from a silicone resin. Microcellular foams, with a cell size ranging from ∼1–80 μm, were fabricated using poly(methyl methacrylate) microbeads as sacrificial templates. The compression strength of the foams decreased with increasing cell size.

Interfacial Capacitance and Electronic Conductance of Activated Carbon Double-Layer Electrodes

Matthias Hahn、M. Baertschi、O. De Barbieri 等 6 位作者2004-01-01Electrochemical and Solid-State Letters

We have measured double-layer capacitance and electronic conductance of an activated carbon electrode in an aprotic electrolyte solution, 1 mol/L in acetonitrile. Both quantities show a similar dependence on the electrode potential with distinct minima near the potential of zero charge. This correlation suggests that…

Mitsuko Takada、Shigeki Hasegawa、Masahiro Ohshima2004-01-01Polymer Engineering and Science

Abstract The effect of CO 2 on the isothermal crystallization kinetics of poly(L‐lactide), PLLA, was investigated using a high‐pressure differential scanning calorimeter (DSC), which can perform calorimetric measurements while keeping the sample polymer in contact with pressurized CO 2 . It was found that the crystall…
