Specific heat and thermal diffusivity of strontium barium niobate (Sr1−xBaxNb2O6) single crystals

C. L. Choy、W. P. Leung、Tong Xi 等 5 位作者1992-01-01Journal of Applied Physics

The specific heat and thermal diffusivity of Sr1−xBaxNb2O6 (x=0.33 and 0.48) single crystals have been measured between 130 and 500 K, and the sound velocity has been measured at 295 K. At x=0.33 the specific heat shows a broad peak at 335 K, indicating the onset of a ferroelectric phase transition. The peak sharpens…

Infrared study of CO, CO2, H2 and H2O interactions on potassium-promoted reduced and oxidised silica-supported copper catalysts

Graeme J. Millar、Colin H. Rochester、K.C. Waugh1992-01-01Journal of the Chemical Society Faraday Transactions

FTIR spectra are reported of CO, CO2, H2 and H2O on silica-supported potassium, copper and potassium–copper catalysts. Adsorption of CO on a potassium/silica catalyst resulted in the formation of complexed CO moieties. Whereas exposure of CO2 to the same catalyst produced bands ascribed to CO–2, bidentate carbonate an…

Thermodynamic Properties of the NaCl+H2O System l. Thermodynamic Properties of NaCl(cr)

Donald G. Archer1992-01-01Journal of Physical and Chemical Reference Data

The available experimental thermoydnamic data for NaCl(cr) have been fitted in order to generate thermodynamic values as a function of temperature and for a nominal pressure of 0.1 MPa. Thermal measurements (heat-capacity values and enthalpy-increment values) have been fitted with a new method. The fitted function and…

Parametric identification in potential transformer modelling

J. Bak-Jenson、B. Bak-Jenson、Søren Damsgaard Mikkelsen 等 4 位作者1992-01-01IEEE Transactions on Power Delivery

It is shown that a wideband lumped parameter equivalent circuit of a potential transformer can be determined through parametric system identification by the least squares method. Because of limitations in the measuring equipment, up to four different sets of input/output signals are necessary. Compared with other test…

Visible-light-induced photocatalysis of poly(pyridine-2,5-diyl). Photoreduction of water, carbonyl compounds and alkenes with triethylamine

Shinjiro Matsuoka、Takao Kohzuki、Yasuhiro Kuwana 等 5 位作者1992-01-01Journal of the Chemical Society Perkin Transactions 2

Poly(pyridine-2,5-diyl)(PPy) exhibits heterogeneous and visible-light-induced photocatalysis toward the reduction of water, carbonyl compounds and alkenes in the presence of triethylamine (TEA) as a sacrifical electron donor. The water reductive H2 evolution is ehnanced by colloidal noble metals concurrently photoform…

Effect of Initial Orientation on the Cold Rolling Behavior of Solidified Columnar Crystals in a 19%Cr Ferritic Stainles Steel.

Nobuhiro Tsuji、Kaneaki Tsuzaki、Tadashi Maki1992-01-01ISIJ International

The cold rolling behavior of solidified columnar crystals in a 19% Cr ferritic stainless steel has been investigated in order to clarify the effects of the initial orientation of each columnar grain and of the interaction with adjacent grain in a polycrystalline specimen. The specimen showed {001}<uv0> texture before…

Influence of magnetizing parameters on the magnetic Barkhausen noise

A. Dhar、D.L. Atherton1992-01-01IEEE Transactions on Magnetics

Magnetic Barkhausen noise (MBN) measurements were made on a sample of pipeline steel as functions of magnetizing frequency and AC flux density in the sample. The observed MBN responses suggest a strong dependence on these magnetizing parameters. With increasing flux density in the sample, the MBN activity initially in…

Decay of charge deposited on the wall of gaseous void

I.W. McAllister1992-01-01IEEE Transactions on Electrical Insulation

After partial discharge activity within a gaseous void, charges accumulate on the wall of the void. The decay of such charges due to surface currents at the void wall is studied analytically, and the factors affecting this decay are indicated. The results show that in terms of the basic time constant, the decay can ta…
