A facile synthesis of new tetrapyrrole macrocyclic derivatives. Formation of bimetallic transition metal complexes

Robert J. P. Corriu、Geng Bolin、Jol J. E. Moreau 等 4 位作者1991-01-01Journal of the Chemical Society Chemical Communications

The reaction of Me(hexynyl)CuLi with (Me3Si)2 NCH2-CC-CO2Et followed by treatment with a diacid dichloride gave a facile access to meta-dipyrrolyl benzene or 2,6-dipyrrolyl pyridine derivatives, which were cyclised to tetrapyrrolic macrocycles 7 and 9; further reactions with Pd(acac)2 or Ni(acac)2 led to bimetallic co…

Grain Boundary δ-Phase Morphologies, Carbides and Notch Rupture Sensitivity of Cast Alloy 718

Göran Sjöberg、N.-G. Ingesten、R. G. Carlson1991-01-01OpenAlex

Notch sensitivity has been connected with the presence of a film-like s-phase morphology in the grain boundaries of cast test bars of Alloy 718 of a problem material in which premature fracture occurred during testing of smooth stress rupture bars at 650 "C. A heat treatment designed to produce a plate-like S-phase mo…

Frequency response analysis and modeling of measurement transformers under distorted current and voltage supply

M.I. Samesima、José Carlos de Oliveira、Eduardo Mário Dias1991-01-01IEEE Transactions on Power Delivery

The time and frequency response of current and potential transformers (CTs and PTs) operating under fundamental frequency conditions are well known. However, in the presence of harmonic frequencies, these transformers can exhibit significant errors. The authors present CT and PT comprehensive frequency domain equivale…

Database analysis of crystal-structure-determining interactions involving sulphur: implications for the design of organic metals

Gautam R. Desiraju、Veerapaneni Nalini1991-01-01Journal of Materials Chemistry

An analysis using the Cambridge Database of 926 structures in the short-axis range up to 8.0 Å, containing divalent sulphur, Y—S—Z, shows that 77 have short axes less than 4.5 Å and are distinguished by a strongly directional pattern of sulphur–heteroatom interactions.

Initial Integration of Accident Safety, Waste Management, Recycling, Effluent, and Maintenance Considerations for Low-Activation Materials

Steven J. Piet、E.T. Cheng、Steve Fetter 等 4 位作者1991-01-01Fusion Technology

A true “low-activation” material should ideally achieve all of the following objectives: The possible prompt dose at the site boundary from 100% release of the inventory should be <2 Sv (200 rem); hence, the design would be “inherently safe” in that no possible accident could result in prompt radiation fatalities. The…

Deformation of a Shape Memory Alloy Helical Spring : Analysis Based on Stress-Strain-Temperature Relation

Hisaaki TOBUSHI、K. Tanaka1991-01-01JSME international journal Ser 1 Solid mechanics strength of materials

In the design of a shape memory alloy helical spring, a basic method of designing the spring based on the stress-strain-temperature relation of the material is an important problem to be solved. In the current study, the deformation behavior of the shape memory alloy helical spring was analyzed based on stress-strain-…

Structural phase transition of VO2(B) to VO2(A)

Yoshio Oka、Takeshi Yao、Naoichi Yamamoto1991-01-01Journal of Materials Chemistry

The phase transition in metastable phases of vanadium dioxide, from VO2(B) to VO2(A), has been investigated. The transition to VO2(A) was induced mechanochemically by compressing or grinding VO2(B) powders and subsequent heat treatment. In non-stressed samples, the transition proceeded slowly with prolonged heat treat…

A. Huanosta、O. Álvarez-Fregoso、Érika Amano 等 6 位作者1991-01-01Journal of Applied Physics

A comparison is made on the dielectric properties of the ferroelectric perovskite bismuth titanate for both crystalline (along different directions) and polycrystalline (with and without flux) samples, using the complex ac impedance technique. Results for the impedance, conductivity activation energies, bulk dielectri…

Liquid Transport in Composite Cellulose—Superabsorbent Fiber Networks

David R. Schuchard、John C. Berg1991-01-01Wood and Fiber Science (Society of Wood Science and Technology)

Wicking flow of water is examined in composite networks of cellulose and carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) fibers. The rate of advance of water through paper strips and fluff pads of varying composition is reported, while dynamic electrotensiometry is used to measure the wetting and swelling characteristics of the individ…

Robin W. Grimes、Andrew N. Fitch1991-01-01Journal of Materials Chemistry

The thermal decomposition of cobalt acetate tetrahydrate has been studied using time-resolved powder neutron diffraction. By using selectively deuterated samples, the loss of water or the breakdown of the acetate group can be identified by following the decrease in the incoherent background of the diffraction pattern…

Toshitaka Tanabe、Daiyû Nakamura、Ryuichi Ikeda1991-01-01Journal of the Chemical Society Faraday Transactions

A new high-temperature solid phase of tetramethylammonium thiocyanate has been found above the phase transition at 455 K, where a large entropy change (15 J K–1 mol–1) was observed. X-ray powder patterns recorded at ca. 470 K showed that this phase forms a CsCl-type cubic lattice with aO= 600 pm, indicating that the S…
