In zero-gap ${\mathrm{Hg}}_{1\ensuremath{-}x}{\mathrm{Mn}}_{x}$ Te alloys, the existence of spin-orbit coupling in the intermediate states leads to anisotropic indirect exchange interactions between localized spins.
