Reactivity of the Hydrido/Nitrosyl Radical MHCl(NO)(CO)(PiPr3)2, M = Ru, Os

Alexei V. Marchenko、Andrei N. Vedernikov、David F. Dye 等 6 位作者2003-12-10Inorganic Chemistry

The reaction of equimolar NO with the 16 electron molecule RuHCl(CO)L(2) (L = P(i)Pr(3)) proceeds, via a radical adduct RuHCl(CO)(NO) L(2), onward to form RuCl(NO)(CO)L(2) (X-ray structure determination) and RuHCl(HNO)(CO)L(2), in a 1:1 mole ratio. The HNO ligand, bound by N and trans to hydride, is rapidly degraded b…

Energy Migration in Novel pH-Triggered Self-Assembled β-Sheet Ribbons

Veysel Kayser、David A. Turton、Amalia Aggeli 等 6 位作者2003-12-10Journal of the American Chemical Society

Energy migration between tryptophan residues has been experimentally demonstrated in self-assembled peptide tapes. Each peptide contains 11 amino acids with a Trp at position 6. The peptide self-assembly is pH-sensitive and forms amphiphilic tapes, which further stack in ribbons (double tapes) and fibrils in water dep…

Physical properties of polycaproamide/cationic dyeable poly(ethylene terephthalate) polyblended fibers

Keven Hsiao、Wen‐Chin Tsen、Yao‐Chi Shu2003-12-10Journal of Applied Polymer Science

Abstract Polycaproamide (PCA) and cationic dyeable poly(ethylene terephthalate) (CDP) polymers were blended mechanically (in ratios of 75/25, 50/50, and 25/75) in a melt twin‐screw extruder to prepare three PCA/CDP polyblended materials. The blends of PCA and CDP were spun into fibers. The molar ratio of dimethyl 5‐su…

The Excitation Processes of Sensitized Luminescence in YAl3(BO3)4:Eu3+, Gd3+Phosphors

Nobuyuki Yokosawa、Eiichiro Nakazawa2003-12-10Japanese Journal of Applied Physics

The photoluminescence of YAl 3 (BO 3 ) 4 :Eu 3+ phosphor is sensitized by the codoping of Gd 3+ ions under ultraviolet excitation from 130 nm to 160 nm. The Gd 3+ ions sensitize the emission of Eu 3+ ions by a two-step energy transfer from the host to Gd 3+ and then to Eu 3+ ions.

Anomalous diffusion is the rule in concentration-dependent diffusion processes

Michel Küntz、Paul Lavallée2003-12-10Journal of Physics D Applied Physics

In this note, we re-examine one-dimensional diffusion experiments of high concentration aqueous CuSO 4 into deionized water carried out by Carey A E et al (1995 Water Resources Res. 31 2213–18). We show that spreading of concentrated CuSO 4 fronts does not conform to the t 1/2 relation expected from Fick's hypothesis…

We present a model for structure formation, melting, and optical properties of gold/DNA nanocomposites. These composites consist of a collection of gold nanoparticles (of radius 50 nm or less) which are bound together by links made up of DNA strands. In our structural model, the nanocomposite forms from a series of Mo…
