Single crystals of DB4HPC, a new metal–organic complex, have been grown from saturated solution for the first time. DB4HPC crystallizes in a monoclinic crystal system with noncentrosymmetric space group <italic>P</italic> 2 <sub>1</sub> and is thermally stable up to 240 °C.
