Mitsutaka Okumura、Masatake Haruta2000-04-01Chemistry Letters

Abstract Gold nanoparticles can be deposited on several metal oxides by liquid phase grafting (LG) of dimethyl gold acetylacetonate. They exhibit high catalytic activities for the oxidation of CO and of H2 at low temperatures, below and above 273 K, respectively.

Temperature study of trap-related photoluminescence decay in CdSxSe1−x nanocrystals in glass

Petr Němec、P. Malý2000-04-01Journal of Applied Physics

The trap-related photoluminescence dynamics in CdSxSe1−x nanocrystals (for x=0.24 and x=0.74) in glass were studied in the temperature interval 10–300 K. A close link between the temperature behavior of the photoluminescence decay rate and that of the photoluminescence efficiency was found, which indicates a dominant…

Chemical Diffusivity of BaTiO 3−δ : IV, Acceptor‐Doped Case

Chang‐Rock Song、Han‐Ill Yoo2000-04-01Journal of the American Ceramic Society

The chemical diffusivity of 1.8 mol% aluminum‐doped BaTiO 3−δ was measured on single‐crystal specimens, as a function of ambient oxygen partial pressure, in the range 10 −18 atm ≤ P O2 ≤ 1 atm and at temperatures of 800°≤ T ≤ 1100°C, via a conductivity‐relaxation technique. As in the polycrystalline, undoped BaTiO 3−δ…

Inhibitor effects of triazole derivatives on corrosion of mild steel in acidic media

Fouad Bentiss、M. Traisnel、M. Lagrenée2000-04-01British Corrosion Journal

The inhibitive action of triazoles on the corrosion of mild steel has been studied through weight loss and various electrochemical techniques. Results obtained show that these organic compounds are very good inhibitors. Triazoles are able to reduce the corrosion of steel more effectively in 1M HCl than in 0·5M H2 SO4…
