In Vitro and In Vivo Antiaggregant Effects of Magnesium Halogenates

Rocío F. Cantón、Jorge Manzanares、Elvira Álvarez 等 4 位作者1987-01-01Thrombosis and Haemostasis

The in vitro antiplatelet aggregating activity of magnesium and magnesium associated with soluble citroflavonoids (hesperidin and eriodictin, 1:1) is well-established. The degree of inhibition of in vitro platelet aggregation activity produced by different concentrations of magnesium halogenates was determined. ADP (4…

Equilibrium of Liquid Drops on Thin Plates; Plate Rigidity and Stability Considerations

Martin E. R. Shanahan1987-01-01The Journal of Adhesion

Following an earlier paper, the equilibrium of an axisymmetric sessile drop resting on a thin, elastic plate has been considered using the minimum free energy hypothesis. A consequence is that although Young's equation is still obeyed at the triple line when considering the true contact angle, the apparent contact ang…

The kinetics of the nitrogen reaction with carbon saturated iron alloys.

Fumitaka Tsukihashi、R. J. Fruehan1987-01-01Transactions of the Iron and Steel Institute of Japan

The kinetics of the nitrogen reaction with liquid Fe-C alloys was investigated by using the isotope exchange technique. The effect of small amounts of S, P, Pb, Sn, Bi and Te in Fe-Csat, alloys on the rate constant of the interfacial nitrogen reaction was studied at 1450°C The rate constant for Fe-Csat.-S alloys was i…

C. B. Carter、Z. Elgat、T. M. Shaw1987-01-01Philosophical magazine. A/Philosophical magazine. A. Physics of condensed matter. Structure, defects and mechanical properties

The structure of first-order twin boundaries in Mg-Al spinel has been examined using high-resolution transmission electron microscopy. Comparison of experimental images with computer calculated images of model twin boundaries, obtained using a multislice image simulation program, allow different twin structures to be…

The origin of the basal-plane magnetocrystalline anisotropy in 4f Co-rich intermetallics

R. J. Radwański1987-01-01Journal of Physics F Metal Physics

Experimental data indicate that in the isostructural series the easy axis of the spontaneous magnetisation within the hexagonal plane alternates with the sign of the third Stevens factor. This confirms that the magnetocrystalline anisotropy of the rare-earth ions in the RCo 5 and R 2 Co 17 intermetallics has a single-…

Crystallization of Low Temperature Fired Glass/Ceramic Composite

Yoshihiko Imanaka、Shigenori Aoki、Nobuo Kamehara 等 4 位作者1987-01-01Journal of the Ceramic Association Japan

The crystallization of glass/ceramic composite was examined, using borosilicate glass and several kinds of ceramic powders. Most composite systems consisted of borosilicate glass and ceramics formed cristobalite during firing, whereas those specimens that include alumina or aluminum nitride did not form any crystal.Th…

How I discovered the ferroelectric properties of KH2PO4

G. Busch1987-01-01Ferroelectrics

This will be an entirely personal report about the development of a branch of experimental physics more than 50 years ago at the “Physikalisches Institut” of the “Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule”, (ETH) in Zurich. At that time Paul Scherrer—best known for his contribution to the development of the Debye-Scherrer-…

Temperature-programmed desorption study of the interactions of H2, CO and CO2 with LaMnO3

L. González Tejuca、Alexis T. Bell、J.L.G. Fierro 等 4 位作者1987-01-01Journal of the Chemical Society Faraday Transactions 1 Physical Chemistry in Condensed Phases

Surface interactions of H2, CO and CO2 with the perovskite-type oxide LaMnO3 have been studied by temperature-programmed desorption (t.p.d.) and i.r. spectroscopy. A t.p.d. desorption peak of H2 at 355–360 K, which increases in intensity with increasing reduction temperature of the oxide (Tr), is assigned to molecular…

The solid state polymorphism of MBBA has been studied and its phase diagram completed. Literature data were analysed and, essentially, neutron scattering results were used to describe the phase situation in MBBA. Transitions between the metastable solid modifications-originating from the fast-cooled glassy state-are c…

G.S. Picard、Hervé Lefèbvre、B. Trémillon1987-01-01Journal of The Electrochemical Society

The influence of oxoacidity on the corrosion of iron in molten sodium nitrate‐nitrite mixtures has been demonstrated by means of potential‐ p O 2− diagram. Oxoacidobasic titrations of iron(III) have been carried out by means of potentiometric measurements with an yttria‐stabilized zirconia membrane electrode, indicato…

Oxidation of Zircaloy-4 in Steam at 1300 to 2400°C

JT Prater、E.L. Courtright1987-01-01OpenAlex

The oxidation kinetics of Zircaloy-4 in steam have been extended to 2400°C. Growth of the ZrO2 and α-Zr(O) layers display parabolic behavior over the entire temperature range studied; however, a discontinuity in the oxidation kinetics above 1510°C causes rates to increase above those previously established by the Bake…

Plate tin single crystals (99.999 mass% purity) were stretched in the [110] direction by a creep-testing apparatus. When applied shear stresses on the [100](010) slip system were more than 55 kPa, all the pr…
