Modeling hydrogen induced damage mechanisms in metals

W. W. Gerberich2012-01-01Elsevier eBooks

Abstract: Historically, there have been a half-dozen hydrogen induced degradation models proposed. A few of these have since been rejected but the remaining ones can be categorized into two. For the first general category, hydrogen enhanced decohesion (HEDE) has been promoted as hydrogen lowering the forces required f…

13. Bacterial Degradation of Archaeological Wood in Anoxic Waterlogged Environments

Nanna Bjerregaard Pedersen、Charlotte Gjelstrup Björdal、Per Jensen 等 4 位作者2012-01-01Special publication - Royal Society of Chemistry/Special publication

Anoxic ecosystems offer extreme environmental conditions and under these conditions wood can be preserved for thousands of years. The recalcitrant nature of wood is not only controlled by the anoxic environment but also by the structure and organisation of the cell wall components. The decay mechanisms acting in anoxi…

Graphene Oxide Reinforced Polyimide Nanocomposites via In Situ Polymerization

Nantao Hu、Liangming Wei、Yanyan Wang 等 8 位作者2012-01-01Journal of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology

Graphene oxide (GO) reinforced polyimide nanocomposites were synthesized by in situ polymerization of monomers in the presence of GO sheets dispersed in N,N-Dimethylacetamide (DMAc). The functional groups (e.g., hydroxyl, epoxide, and carboxyl groups) associated with the GO make GO excellent dispersion in the organic…
