Seung‐Eek Park、Kelley Markowski、Shoko Yoshikawa 等 4 位作者1997-02-01Journal of the American Ceramic Society

The effect of barium (Ba) and strontium (Sr) additions on the electrical properties of lead lanthanum zirconate stannate titanate (PLZST) ceramics and their electrically induced phase change behavior was examined. Sr additions decreased both the ferroelectric (FE) ↔ antiferroelectric (AFE) transition temperature ( T A…

A detailed derivation of extended Jones matrix representation for twisted nematic liquid crystal displays

Alan Lien1997-02-01Liquid Crystals

A detailed derivation of the extended Jones matrix representation for twisted nematic liquid crystal displays at oblique incidence (which was previously published by the author) is given. It is shown that this representation reduces to the well-known ordinary Jones matrix representation at normal incidence.

Finite-element analysis of plastic slip and evolution of geometrically necessary dislocations in fcc crystals

Tetsuya OHASHI1997-02-01Philosophical Magazine Letters

The density distribution of geometrically necessary dislocations, which accompany the gradient of plastic slip strain on slip systems, is evaluated by a finite-element technique. As a numerical example, the bending of a single-crystal plate is analysed. The result obtained for the density distribution of dislocations…

Georges Feller、Z. Zekhnini、Josette Lamotte‐Brasseur 等 4 位作者1997-02-01European Journal of Biochemistry

A heat-labile beta-lactamase has been purified from culture supernatants of Psychrobacter immobilis A5 grown at 4 degrees C and the corresponding chromosomal ampC gene has been cloned and sequenced. All structural and kinetic properties clearly relate this enzyme to class C beta-lactamases. The kinetic parameters of P…

Rheology of polydimethylsiloxane swollen with supercritical carbon dioxide

Linda J. Gerhardt、Charles W. Manke、Esin Gulari1997-02-01Journal of Polymer Science Part B Polymer Physics

Viscosity curves were measured for polydimethyl siloxane (PDMS) melts swollen with dissolved carbon dioxide at 50 and 80°C for shear rates ranging from 40 to 2300 s−1, and for carbon dioxide contents ranging from 0 to 21 wt %. The measurements were performed with a capillary extrusion rheometer modified for sealed, hi…

Topological Redox Isomers: Surface Chemistry of Zeolite-Encapsulated Co(salen) and [Fe(bpy)3]2+ Complexes

Carol A. Bessel、Debra R. Rolison1997-02-01The Journal of Physical Chemistry B

The electroactivity of zeolite-encapsulated redox-active transition metal complexes, {M(L)}Z, was explored for Co(salen) and [Fe(bpy) 3 ] 2+ formed in NaY zeolite (where salen = N, N‘ -bis(salicylidene)ethylenediamine and bpy = 2,2‘-bipyridine).
