REACTOR CHARACTERISTICS RELATED TO MODERATE OR INTENSE LOW-OXYGEN DILUTION FOR CLEAN/CLEANING COMBUSTION PLANTS

Mara de Joannon、Giuseppe Langella、F. 2003-01-01Clean Air

Combustion processes evolving in mild conditions are correcterized by working temperature lower than the flame temperature of the traditional combustion systems, allowing for a drastic reduction of pollutant formation. Such operating conditions' need of specific plant configurations related to the recovery of flue gas…

Investigation of 1-Deoxy-D-Xylulose 5-Phosphate Synthase and Transketolase of Bacillus subtilis in Relation to Vitamin B6 Biosynthesis

Akihiro Sakai、Natsumi Kinoshita、Makoto Kita 等 5 位作者2003-01-01Journal of Nutritional Science and Vitaminology

In Escherichia coli, 4-(phosphohydroxy)-L-threonine and 1-deoxy-D-xylulose 5-phosphate are believed to be direct precursors of vitamin B6 (B6), and 1-deoxy-D-xylulose 5-phosphate synthase (Dxs) and transketolase could catalyze the formation of each precursor. In this report, the possible involvement Dxs and transketol…

Nematic ordering problem as the polymer problem of the excluded volume

A Yakunin2003-01-01Open Physics

Abstract Based on a solution of the polymer excluded volume problem, a technique is proposed to estimate some parameters at the isotropic-nematic liquid crystal phase transition (the product of the volume fraction of hard sticks and the ratio of the stick length, L, to its diameter, D; the maximum value of this ratio…

Study of thermal decomposition at a GC injector in an analysis of PBDDs/PBDFs by high-resolution GC/MS

Localization of plastic deformations as a result of wave interaction

Adam Glema、Tomasz Łodygowski、P. Perzyna2003-01-01DOAJ (DOAJ: Directory of Open Access Journals)

The main objective of the paper is the investigation of the interaction and reflection of elastic-viscoplastic waves which can lead to localization phenomena in solids. The rate type constitutive structure for an elastic-viscoplastic material with thermomechanical coupling is used. An adiabatic inelastic flow process…
