Nanocarbons were synthesized from benzene - water - sodium dodecyl sulfate(SDS)and benzene-(water-ethanol)-SDS systems using solution plasma. The stabilized emulsion formed in the benzene-water-SDS and benzene-(water-ethanol)-SDS. The specific surface areas of nanocarbons synthesized from benzene-water-SDS increased w…

Stress corrosion cracking (SCC) has recently been observed in Ni-based alloy welds in nuclear power plants, despite countermeasures to prevent it. In the repair welding, temper bead welding (TBW) is applicable when post weld heat treatment (PWHT) is difficult to carry out. In TBW, the welding process variables are app…

The large deformation including bucking may occur due to welding on thin-plate structures. The prediction of welding distortion on thin-plate structures is difficult since change of deformation mode may occur. In this research, in order to evaluate the welding distortion of thin-plate structures, an analysis method th…

A closed form solution expressing humidity dependence of static fatigue crack velocity of SiO2-based materials is derived by combing a reaction controlled crack velocity equation and a humidity dependent surface energy equation based on atomistic simulation. Calculated results by using this solution coincide well with…

Industrial rubber, commonly used in the fabrication of tires and engine mounts, exhibits nonlinear viscoelastic behavior. In the design of these rubber products, it is important to capture the stress–strain responses under arbitrary loading conditions. However, the stress–strain responses exhibit complicated behavior,…

Numerical method for analyzing pattern formation on a curved surface is investigated in this study. A multiphase-field model is applied, and the equations are solved by the finite difference method. The lattice points for the numerical integration are disposed on a spherical surface. In our previous study, several reg…
