Characterization of Mechanical Properties for Ferritic Heat-Resisting Steels (12Cr-2W) with Different Creep-Fatigue Properties by Nano-Indentation

Nobuo Nagashima、Masao Hayakawa、Megumi Kimura2017-01-01Journal of the Society of Materials Science Japan

Quantitative mechanical analyses by nano indentation were performed for two types of ferritic heat-resisting steel that contained 12mass% chromium and 2mass% tungsten (12Cr-2W). One of the 12Cr-2W with a superior creep-fatigue property showed transgranular fractures, whereas the other steel with an inferior creep-fati…

Galina M. Eremina、A. Yu. Smolin、Evgeny V. Shilko2017-01-01AIP conference proceedings

Metal-ceramic materials are characterized by high mechanical and tribological properties. The surface treatment of the composite by an electron beam in inert gas plasma leads to a qualitative and quantitative change in its microstructure as well as to a change in mechanical properties of the components: a columnar str…

The deposition of nanostructured Zr-Y-O/Si-Al-N-based coatings was implemented by the pulse magnetron methods. The structural-phase state of the nanostructured coatings was studied with TEM and X-ray analysis. The phase transformation in Zr-Y-O layer was observed with the X-ray diffraction analysis in the “in-situ” mo…

Enhanced In-field Properties in BaFe2(As1-xPx)2 Thin Films with BaZrO3 Nanoparticles

Masashi Miura2017-01-01TEION KOGAKU (Journal of Cryogenics and Superconductivity Society of Japan)

This paper reviews our study on in-field superconducting properties and thermally activated vortex motion (creep) in BaFe2(As1-xPx)2 (Ba122:P) thin films with BaZrO3 nanoparticles fabricated on a MgO single crystal using pulsed laser deposition (PLD). We demonstrated that introducing controlled uniformly dispersed BaZ…

Investigation into the Physical Mechanism and Influencing Factors of Sympathetic Inrush for Transformers in Series

Fang Peng、Houlei Gao2017-01-01Mathematical Problems in Engineering

Sympathetic inrush is a magnetizing inrush phenomenon generated in an in‐service transformer, when a nearby transformer in series or in parallel is energized. This phenomenon lasts longer than the general inrush and can cause protection maloperation. The study focuses on sympathetic inrush in series transformers. Flux…

Friction is a complex dynamic process. Direct observation of processes occurring in the friction zone is impossible due to a small size of a real contact area and, as a consequence, requires various additional methods applicable to monitor a tribological contact state. One of such methods consists in the analysis of a…
