長期間にわたり海水作用を受けたコンクリートの表層には、局所的な膨張を伴うひび割れや脆弱化が生じる場合がある(以降海水劣化)。本検討では、海水劣化の原因を推定するため、暴露試験場において海水劣化の進行した試験体および暴露環境における共通要素を整理し、海水劣化が進行する条件について推定を行った。また、それらを基に海水劣化の発生要因を把握するため、熱力学的相平衡計算により水和物の組成変化を推定し、またそれによる体積変化を比較した。その結果、気温や日射に起因する温度変化や乾湿による空隙水の濃縮に伴うエトリンガイトの溶解・析出の繰返しが海水劣化の原因として作用した可能性があることを考察した。
