現在の食品中の放射性物質に関する基準値は,134Cs, 137Cs, 90Sr, 106Ru, Pu, を規制対象とし,放射性セシウムに代表させ設定されている。土壌中の放射性核種の濃度比等を基に導出されているが,海産物については,セシウムとそれ以外からの線量が等量になると仮定している。今回,モニタリングデータを基に線量への寄与の検証を試みたところ,セシウム以外からの寄与は基準値策定時の仮定よりも小さかった。

水道水の電気分解により得た次亜塩素酸水と水道水を使用し,温水洗浄便座の洗浄ノズルの除菌効果を比較検討した.約105~106 cfu/mLの大腸菌および緑膿菌を付着させた洗浄ノズルに対し水道水でリンスと吐水を5回繰り返すと,付着菌数は4桁減少した.塩素濃度1.5 ppm含有の次亜塩素酸水によるリンスでは,大腸菌および腸球菌においてリンス3回目から検出限界以下になり,洗浄ノズル表面の細菌も検出限界以下になった.洗浄ノズルの衛生保持には,水道水よりも次亜塩素酸が有効であることが示唆されたが,緑膿菌では次亜塩素酸水を使用しても完全に除菌できなかった.温水洗浄便座を使用する対象者と場所を考慮する必要があると考えられる.
