A ‘bottom-up’ approach is utilized for assembling magnetic nanoparticles in a mesoporous silica solid for the generation of a magnetic nanocomposite. Grafting of a palladium complex of the type (L)2PdCl2 (L=Si(OMe)3 functionalized PPh3) results in an active, recyclable catalyst for CC coupling reactions.

The Effect of H2S on the Performance of SOFCs using Methane Containing Fuel

Jens F.B. Rasmussen、Anke Hagen2010-09-16Fuel Cells

Abstract In recent years, the interest for using biogas derived from biomass as fuel in solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs) has increased. To maximise the biogas to electrical energy output, it is important to study the effects of the main biogas components (CH 4 and CO 2 ), minor ones and traces (e.g. H 2 S) on performanc…

Critical Role of Screw Dislocation in the Growth of Co(OH)2 Nanowires as Intermediates for Co3O4 Nanowire Growth

Yanguang Li、Yiying Wu2010-09-16Chemistry of Materials

In our prior studies, we reported the growth of Co 3 O 4 nanowire arrays via the ammonia-evaporation-induced growth in solution and their promising applications in a Li-ion battery and oxygen evolution. Although we had identified that the growth of Co 3 O 4 nanowire went through the β-Co(OH) 2 intermediate, the growth…
