J. A. Moreno、B. Garrido、P. Pellegrino 等 9 位作者2005-07-01Journal of Applied Physics

The complex refractive index of SiO2 layers containing Si nanoclusters (Si-nc) has been measured by spectroscopic ellipsometry in the range from 1.5 to 5.0 eV. It has been correlated with the amount of Si excess accurately measured by x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and the nanocluster size determined by energy-filte…

In Vitro Characterization of a Bone Marrow Stem Cell-Seeded Collagen Gel Composite for Soft Tissue Grafts: Effects of Fiber Number and Serum Concentration

K.E. Lewus、Eric A. Nauman2005-07-01Tissue Engineering

Cell-seeded collagen hydrogels have been used in the engineering of many tissue types, from skin and vasculature to spinal cord. One of the primary limitations of collagen-based hydrogels for use in tissue-engineered grafts is that cells seeded within the gel cause it to contract as much as 70%. By forming a composite…

Effect of screening on the emissivity of field electron emitters based on carbon nanotubes

G. S. Bocharov、А. В. Елецкий2005-07-01Technical Physics

The effect of screening on the emissivity of a field cathode built around a carbon nanotube array is analyzed. A numerical method of solving the Laplace equation for intricate-shape cathodes is developed that makes it possible to relate the amplification factor to the nanotube spacing in arrays containing as many as 2…

On Infrared Intensities of Spinel, MgAl2O4

Isao Kanesaka、Yuichi Hayashi、Yoshiyuki Morioka2005-07-01Bulletin of the Chemical Society of Japan

Abstract In spinel (MgAl2O4), the strongest infrared band at 485 cm−1 shows less LO–TO splitting than the medium band at 670 cm−1. This unexpected relationship is explained in terms of the vibrational coupling of these TO modes. A new manner for evaluating the LO mode is proposed.
