Xiangrong Song、Ting Yu、Bei Xu 等 12 位作者2016-02-01International Journal of Nanomedicine

Anti-angiogenesis has been proposed as an effective therapeutic strategy for cancer treatment. Pigment epithelium-derived factor (PEDF) is one of the most powerful endogenous anti-angiogenic reagents discovered to date and PEDF gene therapy has been recognized as a promising treatment option for various tumors. There…

Electronic conductance model in constricted MoS2 with nanopores

Aditya Sarathy、Jean‐Pierre Leburton2016-02-01Applied Physics Letters

We describe a self-consistent model for electronic transport in a molybdenum di-sulphide (MoS2) layer containing a nanopore in a constricted geometry. Our approach is based on a semi-classical thermionic Poisson-Boltzmann technique using a two-valley model within the effective mass approximation to investigate perturb…

Relation between Electric Spark Sensitivity and Impact Sensitivity of Nitroaromatic Energetic Compounds

Mohammad Hossein Keshavarz、Zahra Keshavarz2016-02-01Zeitschrift für anorganische und allgemeine Chemie

Abstract Impact and electric spark sensitivities of energetic compounds are two important sensitivity parameters, which are closely related to many accidents in working places. In contrast to electric spark sensitivity, impact sensitivity can be easily measured. A new simple method is introduced to correlate electric…

Wei Yang、Schalk Cloete、John Morud 等 4 位作者2016-02-01International Journal of Chemical Reactor Engineering

Abstract An approximate analytical expression for estimating the effectiveness factors of non-catalytic gas-solid reactions is proposed. The new expression is derived from the analytical solution for simple first order reactions (Ishida and Wen 1968. Comparison of kinetic and diffusional models for solid-gas reactions…

Enantioselective Modular Total Synthesis of Macrolides Sch725674 and C‐4‐epi‐Sch725674

Brijesh M. Sharma、Arjun Gontala、Pradeep Kumar2016-02-01European Journal of Organic Chemistry

Abstract The convergent total synthesis of Sch725674 has been accomplished by starting from (R)‐1,2‐epoxyheptane and assembling five modules in a highly stereoselective manner to give the final product in 6.6 % overall yield. The same strategy was extended to the synthesis of its C‐4 epimer. Key reactions of the synth…

Numerical Study of Grain Evolution and Dislocation Density during Asymmetric Rolling of Aluminum Alloy 7075

Alexander Pesin、А. Г. Корчунов、Denis Pustovoytov2016-02-01Key engineering materials

The paper gives a mathematical model of grain evolution and dislocation density during asymmetric cold rolling of aluminum alloy 7075 in an SPD mode. Correlations between the effect of equivalent and shear strain on Al 7075 structure are obtained. An agreement of simulation results with experimental data is shown.

T. P. Tolmachev、V. P. Pilyugin、A. I. Ancharov 等 5 位作者2016-02-01The Physics of Metals and Metallography

The mechanical alloying of Au–Co mixtures, which are systems with high positive mixing enthalpy, is studied following high-pressure torsion deformation at room and cryogenic temperatures. X-ray diffractometry in synchrotron radiation and scanning microscopy are used to investigate the sequence of structural changes in…

Optimized Cryopreservation and Banking of Human Bone-Marrow Fragments and Stem Cells

Gianluca Carnevale、Alessandra Pisciotta、Massimo Riccio 等 10 位作者2016-02-01Biopreservation and Biobanking

Adult mesenchymal stem cells are a promising source for cell therapies and tissue engineering applications. Current procedures for banking of human bone-marrow mesenchymal stem cells (hBM-MSCs) require cell isolation and expansion, and thus the use of large amounts of animal sera. However, animal-derived culture suppl…

Coupled Deterministic and Stochastic Modeling of an Industrial Multi‐Zone LDPE Autoclave Reactor

David Eckes、Markus Busch2016-02-01Macromolecular Symposia

Summary Simulation aided product design of LDPE often requires deep understanding of polymer architectures produced in the industrial polymerization. Therefore, a hybrid‐stochastic approach is further developed that allows for the good description of the typical polymeric microstructure produced in a multi‐zone autocl…

Metal-Multilayer-Dielectric Structure for Enhancement of s- and p-Polarized Evanescent Waves

S.G. Ilchenko、Ruslan A. Lymarenko、V. B. Taranenko2016-02-01Nanoscale Research Letters

We propose a structure based on combination of multilayer stack of dielectric films and thin metal layer for excitation and enhancement of both s- and p-polarized evanescent waves. It is shown that two different mechanisms of evanescent wave excitation may occur at the same angle of light beam incidence on the structu…
