R. W. Rice、Carl Wu、Fred Boichelt1994-10-01OpenAlex

Both Vickers and Knoop hardness ( H ), measured at two or more loads in the range of 100–2000 g (most commonly 100 and 500 g) for a variety of dense oxide and non‐oxide materials, covering a range of grain sizes ( G ), including single crystals where possible, were shown to generally be consistent with (often more lim…

Stability of carbon nitride solids

Amy Liu、Renata M. Wentzcovitch1994-10-01OpenAlex

An ab initio variable-cell-shape molecular-dynamics algorithm is used to investigate the stability of three carbon nitrides with composition ${\mathrm{C}}_{3}$${\mathrm{N}}_{4}$. The hexagonal \ensuremath{\beta}-${\mathrm{C}}_{3}$${\mathrm{N}}_{4}$ structure, which has been the subject of earlier investigations, is re…

5,10,15,20‐Tetra‐tert‐butylporphyrin and Its Remarkable Reactivity in the 5‐ and 15‐Positions

Tadashi Ema、Mathias O. Senge、Nora Y. Nelson 等 5 位作者1994-09-30Angewandte Chemie International Edition in English

Owing to the steric bulk of the tert-butyl groups, the reactivity of the novel porphyrin 1, which has a nonplanar macrocyclic framework, deviates distinctly from that of any other known porphyrin. For example, prolonged treatment of 1 in HClO4/MeOH leads to formation of 5,15-dihydroporphyrin (“porphodi-methene”) 2.

Electron Delocalization in Ethynyl‐Bridged Binuclear Ruthenium(II) Polypyridine Complexes

Andrew C. Benniston、Vincent Grosshenny、Anthony Harriman 等 4 位作者1994-09-30Angewandte Chemie International Edition in English

The triplet lifetimes of the ethynyl-bridged binuclear RuII complexes 1 (m = 0, 1; n = 1, 2) are significantly longer than that of the parent mononuclear complex, despite much lower triplet energies. This effect, which arises from electron delocalization over an extended π* orbital, decreases upon removal of the secon…

Brizziite, NaSbO3, a new mineral from the Cetine mine (Tuscany, Italy): description and crystal structure

F. Olmi、C. Sabelli1994-09-28European Journal of Mineralogy

Brizziite is a new sodium antimonate mineral from the Cetine mine, Tuscany, Italy. It occurs as dense aggregates of platy {001} hexagonal crystals. Associated minerals are stibiconite and mopungite. The crystals, which are polysynthetically twinned, are colourless and transparent, with pearly lustre. Electron micropro…

A comparative XRD and TEM study of the physical meaning of the white mica "crystallinity" index

Fernando Nieto、Antonio Sánchez‐Navas1994-09-28European Journal of Mineralogy

The white mica crystallinity index has been analyzed as a function of the following parameters: 1) the domain size, 2) lattice distortion, and 3) the presence of other phyllosilicates overlapping the 10 A XRD peak, particularly I/S mixed-layer. (2) is determined by the variance method suggested by Wilson (1963) and su…
