Sensitive MRI detection of internalized T1 contrast agents using magnetization transfer contrast

Daniela Delli Castelli、Giuseppe Ferrauto、Enza Di Gregorio 等 5 位作者2015-10-16NMR in Biomedicine

This work addresses the possibility of using Magnetization Transfer Contrast (MTC) for an improved MRI detection of T1 relaxation agents. The need to improve the detection threshold of MRI agents is particularly stringent when the contrast agents failed to accumulate to the proper extent in targeting procedures. The h…

Effect of EGCG On Fe(III)‐induced conformational transition of silk fibroin, a model of protein related to neurodegenerative diseases

Lihui Xu、Sidong Tu、Congheng Chen 等 6 位作者2015-10-16Biopolymers

The abnormal aggregation of amyloid proteins is reported to play a critical role in the etiology of neurodegenerative disorders. Studies have shown that excessive ferric irons are associated with the misfolding of amyloid proteins, and that (-)-epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) is a good metallic ion chelator with inhib…

CuO, CeO2 Modified Mg–Al Spinel for Removal of SO2 from Fluid Catalytic Cracking Flue Gas

Pi Zhipeng、Benxian Shen、Jigang Zhao 等 4 位作者2015-10-16Industrial & Engineering Chemistry Research

A Mg-rich Mg–Al spinel modified with CuO and CeO 2 via a cogelling method was used to remove SO 2 from fluid catalytic cracking (FCC) flue gas. It was found that the generation of a MgO–CuO solid solution was prevented in the presence of CeO 2 . So CuO had a better dispersion on the adsorbent surface and showed a bett…

PVA-Coumarin Films: Materials for Optical Applications

N. Mohamed、Yehia Badr、K.M.A. El-Kader2015-10-16Journal of Composites and Biodegradable Polymers

Pure Poly(vinylacohol) (PVA) and PVA-coum films with different concentrations were prepared by a casting technique. Optical absorption and mechanical properties were measured. The UV–Vis absorption spectra gave the same band positions but the absorption intensity increases with increasing coumarin concentration. The d…

Uniform refraction in negative refractive index materials

Cristian E. Gutiérrez、Eric Stachura2015-10-16Journal of the Optical Society of America A

We study the problem of constructing an optical surface separating two homogeneous, isotropic media, one of which has a negative refractive index. In doing so, we develop a vector form of Snell's law, which is used to study surfaces possessing a certain uniform refraction property, in both the near- and far-field case…

Cationic nickel porphyrinoids with unexpected reactivity

Richard Wicht、Stefanie Bahnmüller、Kai Brandhorst 等 5 位作者2015-10-16Chemical Science

Cationic nickel(ii) complexes of two ring-contracted porphyrinoid ligands distantly related to the corrins were prepared by metal templated macrocyclisation. The compounds show reversible electron transfer processes and were found to be the first porphyrinoid-based catalysts for C-C cross-coupling.

Abstract Cu3(SeO4)2(SeO3OH)2(H2O)16 (1) is a novel copper selenate hydrate and the first inorganic compound to contain linear octahedral–tetrahedral heptamers. The heptamers are formed by successive polymerization of two SeO3OH tetrahedra, two SeO4 tetrahedra, and three Cu(H2O)4O2 octahedra. The linkages between the o…
