The ZnO film with 6 mm symmetry is one kind of functional films with different use. The columnar microstructure in the film has an affect on the properties of materials. In this paper, ZnO/Si film was deposited by planar magnetron sputtering. The columnar microstructure was examined with SEM and TEM. The SEM cross ima…

The grafting of N,N′-methylenebisacrylamide (N,N′-MBA) onto cellulose is carried out using the cobaltacetylacetonate complex (Co(acac)3) under nitrogen atmosphere at 40°C. The rate of graft copolymerization has been studied as a function of [N,N′-MBA], [Co(acac)3], and temperature. The activation energy of grafting is…

A laboratory investigation of NO x reduction by NH 3 over sulfated and unsulfated CuO/γ-Al 2 O 3 was carried out. The rate of the selective catalytic reduction (SCR) reaction with excess O 2 over presulfated sorbent between 325 and 425 °C in the absence of H 2 O and HCl was quantified by a first-order expression with…

Beta-cyclodextrin (CD) dimers (n = 11) were synthesized and tested against eight enzymes, seven of which were dimeric or tetrameric, for inhibitor activity. Initial screening showed that only L-lactate dehydrogenase and citrate synthase were inhibited but only by two specific CD dimers in which two beta-CDs were linke…
