시멘트 몰탈의 보습제로 사용되는 hydroxypropylmethyl cellulose(HPMC)가 몰탈의 증점성과 보습성에 미치는 영향을 살펴보고 이에 따른 몰탈의 기계적 특성을 살펴보았다. HPMC의 치환도(MS/DS)가 증가됨에 따라 셀룰로오스가 갖는 수소결합이 약해져 친수성이 증가되며 이러한 친수성 증가는 몰탈에 존재하는 수분을 HPMC가 흡수하여 몰탈의 점도 증가와 몰탈의 보습성을 유지시킬 수 있었다. 보습성의 증가는 양생 시 C₃S와 C₂S 수화과정을 촉진시켜 몰탈의 부착강도와 압축강도를 증가시킴을 알 수 있었다. 압축강도의 증가는 보습제와 소포제를 함께…
