The inverse problem of determining a region in which the velocities of magnetic particles or biological cells modified by these particles (microaggregates) vanish has been formulated and solved. The zerovelocity isolines have been determined for three variants of arrangement of a permanent magnet. A solution of the in…

Ultrasonic pulse-echo technique is a valuable and non-destructive tool to explore elastic properties of materials. We propose a new instrument based on mass-produced microchips. In our design, the signal is processed by an AD8302 RF gain and phase detector (www.analog.com). Its phase output is linearly proportional to…

A Study On Manufacturing Of Head-Part Of Pipes Using A Rotating Manufacturing Process

Ji-In Park、S. K. Lee、Yekyung Kim 等 4 位作者2015-09-01Zenodo (CERN European Organization for Nuclear Research)

A large variety of pipe flange is required in marine and construction industry. Pipe flanges are usually welded or screwed to the pipe end and are connected with bolts. This approach is very simple and widely used for a long time; however, it results in high development cost and low productivity, and the productions m…

Methods for optimization of energy exchange modes between linear and nonlinear capacitors

Natalia Suprunovska、А.А. Щерба2015-09-01OpenAlex

The methods for optimization of energy exchange between the linear and nonlinear capacitors are proposed. As an example we consider the equivalent circuit of the supercapacitor, electric capacity of which changes proportionally to the voltage on its plates. It is shown that the electric power losses in the energy exch…

Abstract We successfully demonstrate a 1.89‐inch SLMoG (spatial light modulator on glass) driven by oxide BCE (back channel etch) TFTs (thin‐film transistor). It is necessary for SLM to have very fine pixel pitch and large panel size for realizing high display quality of digital holography. To confirm such technical d…

Comparative Investigation on the properties of Soda and Soda-Ethanol pulps from three hardwoods

Hosein Valayi、Ahmad Jahan latibari2015-09-01DOAJ (DOAJ: Directory of Open Access Journals)

Strength properties and the yield of soda and soda-ethanol pulps produced using hornbeam, beech and poplar woods were investigated. Soda pulps were produced applying 20% active alkali and the soda-ethanol pulps were made using 10% active alkali and 50% ethanol. The pulping temperature was constant at 175 C and the sod…

Non-invasive thrombolysis using histotripsy beyond the “intrinsic” threshold (microtripsy)

Xi Zhang、Hitinder S. Gurm、Gabe E. Owens 等 4 位作者2015-09-01The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America

Histotripsy has been demonstrated as a non-invasive, drug-free, image-guided thrombolysis method using cavitation alone. Microtripsy is a new histotripsy approach, where cavitation is generated using 1-cycle ultrasound pulses with negative pressure exceeding a threshold intrinsic to the medium. We hypothesize that, us…
