关于工具基于大量文学穿研究, 873 工具穿曲线作为样品被拿,并且统计分析被执行从工具制造商建议的所有工具材料选择最合适的工具。在之间的统计关系起始穿并且制服穿时期被获得。结果证明在之间有质的关系穿率在期间起始穿时期(WRIWP ) 并且在制服穿率穿时期(WRUWP ) 到某些程度。在这个基础上,工具材料快速的选择方法基于起始穿被提出,并且为用机器制造钛合金的合适的工具材料被选择。试验性的结果显示这个方法有效、有用。新工具材料快速的选择能被用来在与最合适的工具材料执行系统的 machinability 测试前快速选择合适的切的工具材料。技术能被用于做把工具材料切成 machinability 研究或车间生产的起始的选择。
