Faceted Dendrites in the Growth of NH 4 Br Crystals
The growth of crystals of NH 4 Br from a supersaturated solution is studied. We find regimes where crystals grow in form of “faceted dendrites”, i.e. with a global parabolic shape and facets close to the tip.
