Single particle ICP-MS in a multitechnique approach to elucidate the fate of silver nanoparticles in burnt patients

Marco Roman、Chiara Rigo、Vindigni Vincenzo 等 5 位作者2015-01-01ARCA (Università Ca' Foscari Venezia)

The topical administration of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) is increasingly used in the treatment of burns to prevent infections and favour the regeneration of the tissue. Beside the antibacterial efficacy, we have documented that AgNPs can penetrate into the dermis, be up taken by the fibroblasts and affect mitochondr…

Jing Xu、Liang Jia-Qing、LI Hong-ping 等 6 位作者2015-01-01Acta Physica Sinica

Layered transition metal dichalcogenides (LTMDs) have renewed interest as electronic materials, but the poor conductivities hinder their further development. Chemical doping can often significantly modify atomic structures and electronic functionalities of a wide range of materials and thus acts as one of the most eff…

Modeling of Residual Stress Fields and Their Effects on Fatigue Crack Growth

Christian Garcia Lopez2015-01-01OpenAlex

Fatigue Crack Growth (FCG) is a deleterious physical phenomenon in engineering materials, which is intensified by the presence of tensile Residual Stress Fields (RSF), while compressive RSF has been shown to delay the FCG phenomenon. However, several challenges make it difficult to fully incorporate the beneficial eff…

Н. А. Абросимов、A. V. Yelesin、С. А. Пирогов2015-01-01Problems of Strength and Plasticity

A methodology for numerically investigating dynamic deformation of cylindrical composite shells is considered, aimed at analyzing problems of evaluation of their ultimate deformability and strength as a function of load intensity. An energy-conjugated resolving system of equations of the dynamics of composite cylindri…

Structural analysis of cadmium sulfide thin film prepared by vacuum evaporation by using the FullProf program

A.M. Abdulwahab、SalahAbdul-Jabbar Jassim2015-01-01Materials science : an Indian journal

Using the Fullprof program we analyzed X-ray diffraction of CdS thin film prepared by vacuum evaporation on glass substrate. The program fitted and refined the experimental XRD data by two methods; Le Bail fitting and Rietveld refinement. Experimental profiles of the XRD data were fitted by modified Thompson-Cox-Hasti…

А. P. Yankovskii2015-01-01Problems of Strength and Plasticity

From the condition of stationarity of the extended functionality of free energy the ratio, characterizing the optimal reinforcement of thermoelastic plates loaded in-plane, are obtained. Expanded functional is obtained through the use of uncertain Lagrange multipliers under additional constraints corresponding to the…

Physicochemical properties of dispersions of clozapine, 4-acetamidophenol and venlafaxine hydrochloride in hydrophobic media

Jessica Attard、Maria D. Ellul、Claude Farrugia2015-01-01OAR@UM (University of Malta)

The most important factor to ensure reproducible measurements in any dispersion is that the particulate properties do not change significantly throughout the measurements. Hence, it is imperative to ensure that the dispersion process is accurate, so that the particle size analysis precisely reflects particle size dist…

Jacob Christopher Sebesta、Snow, Christopher、Fisk, Nick 等 4 位作者2015-01-01Digital Collections of Colorado (Colorado State University)

Programmable materials allow properties as specific locations in the material to be modified through reliable encoding. One class of such materials are protein crystals that allow changes to be made through genetic manipulation. Protein crystals are well-ordered and highly porous materials, but they are also easily di…

2P-553 : Blocked polyisocyanate
