A systematic theoretical study of the electronic structures of porphyrin dimers: DFT and TD-DFT calculations on diporphyrins linked by ethane, ethene, ethyne, imine, and azo bridges

Llew Rintoul、Shannon R. Harper、Dennis P. Arnold2013-01-01Physical Chemistry Chemical Physics

Theoretical calculations of the geometries, electronic structures and electronic absorption spectra of a series of covalently-linked porphyrin dimers are reported. The diporphyrins comprise 5,10,15-triphenylporphyrinatozinc(II) (ZnTriPP) units linked through the meso carbons by two-atom bridges, namely 1,2-ethanediyl…

KLaF4 nanocrystallisation in oxyfluoride glass-ceramics

A. Martín、Francisco Muñoz、Glenn C. Mather 等 9 位作者2013-01-01CrystEngComm

Nanocrystallisation of the cubic and hexagonal polymorphs of KLaF4 in a 70SiO2–7Al2O3–16K2O–7LaF3 (mol%) glass has been achieved by heat treatment above the glass transition temperature. For treatment at 580 °C, only the cubic structure crystallises, with a maximum crystallite size of ~9 nm. At higher temperatures, cr…

Influence of Post-Annealing Conditions on the Formation of Delafossite-CuCrO2Films

Hongying Chen、Kuei-Ping Chang2013-01-01ECS Journal of Solid State Science and Technology

The influence of post-annealing conditions, the partial oxygen pressures (pO 2 ) and temperatures, on the formation of CuCrO 2 films is examined in this study. The sol-gel derived films were annealed at 500°C in air and post-annealed at 600°C to 850°C in pO 2 = 10 −3 atm to pO 2 = 0.21 atm. The CuO and CuCr 2 O 4 phas…

Light-triggered self-assembly of a dichromonyl compound in water

Willem A. Velema、Marc C. A. Stuart、Wiktor Szymański 等 4 位作者2013-01-01Chemical Communications

External control over self-assembling structures is achieved by incorporating an azobenzene photoswitch into the structure of a dichromonyl compound. The self-assembly of dichromonyl compounds into fibers leads to the formation of a hydrogel and can be triggered with visible light.
