Shape of MgAl 2 O 4 Grains in a CaMgSiAlO Glass Matrix

Sang‐Yeup Park、Kyoon Choi、Suk‐Joong L. Kang 等 4 位作者1992-01-01Journal of the American Ceramic Society

When sintered Al 2 O 3 is annealed with CaMgSiAlO glass at 1600°C, polyhedral MgAl 2 O 4 grains form and glass pockets are entrapped within the grains. After annealing for 13 h at 1600°C, the liquid pockets show a regular octahedron shape which is expected to represent the equilibrium shape. All grain surfaces in cont…

Spherical gel particles from rice husk by chemical digestion

Ismail Abdul Rahman1992-01-01Journal of Materials Chemistry

Rice husk has been treated with concentrated HNO3 to give a colloid and other products. The colloid, when separated and aged, gave a non-uniform distribution of gel-like spherical particles. It is suggested that the process is a polymerisation with gel size varying according to degree of polymerisation.

Toshio Kunugi、Akihiro Suzuki、E H Kubota1992-01-01KOBUNSHI RONBUNSHU

The reactions of amine, polyamine and amino alcohol corrosion inhibitors in water at high temperature

John R. Lindsay Smith、Alison Smart、M. V. Twigg1992-01-01Journal of the Chemical Society Perkin Transactions 2

A stainless steel reactor has been used to investigate the reactions of mono-, di-, tri- and tetraamines, amino alcohols and amino ethers in degassed aqueous solution at 240–300 °C. The predominant reactions involved nucleophilic substitutions, where the amino nitrogen acts as the nucleophile, and not solvolyses. With…

ABSTRACT The X‐ray scattering curves for vitreous SiO 2 and B 2 O 3 are obtained in a vacuum camera, using monochromatic Mo and Cu radiation. A Fourier analysis of the scattering curve gives directly a curve representing the distribution of neighboring atoms about any one atom. For SiO 2 , the distribution curve estab…

Relaxation phenomenon during electromigration under pulsed current

K. Hinode、Takeshi Furusawa、Y. Homma1992-01-01OpenAlex

Relaxation in electromigration is one of the most important factors which determine the lifetime of a conductor carrying a pulsed current. The purpose was to clarify the mechanism of this relaxation. During low-frequency (DC to mHz) pulse-migration tests, an extremely slow relaxation was detected in Al conductor resis…
