수열합성법에 의해 구리(II) 착물, [Cu(4,4``-bpy)(SO4)2(H2O)3].2H20(1)(4,4-bpy=4,4-Bipyridine)을 합성하였고 원소분석과 단결정 X-선 회절법으로 구조를 확인하였다. 착물에서 구리(II) 이온들은 6-배위 구조로 되어 있으며 두개의 구리(II) 이론들은 4,4-bipyridine에 의해 연결되어 1D-골격을 가지고 있다.
