WASTEWATER TREATMENT CHARACTERISTIC OF LACTATE CONTAINING WASTEWATER BY A SINGLE CHAMBER MICROBIAL FUEL CELL

一槽式微生物燃料電池(MFC)を用いて乳酸が主要な有機物成分として含有されることを特徴とする食品製造系排水の処理特性を実験的に検討した.また,開回路系と酢酸模擬排水供給系を対照として,基本的な処理ならびに発電特性について比較を行った.その結果,実排水に対する有機物分解速度はMFCでは1.4 kgCOD/m3/dayに達し,開回路系の0.9 kgCOD/m3/dayに比べ約1.6倍に向上した.MFC内では乳酸の分解産物と考えられるプロピオン酸等の有機酸の分解速度が大きく上昇しており,このことが有機物分解速度向上に寄与した.また,MFC内では開回路系に比べGeobacter属の細菌群が高い割合で検出され,実排水処理においても発電のみな…
