Synthesis of Structurally Defined Ta3N5 Particles by Flux-Assisted Nitridation

Tsuyoshi Takata、Daling Lu、Kazunari Domen2010-11-23Crystal Growth & Design

The synthesis of a transition metal nitride, Ta 3 N 5, was studied. Morphological changes of Ta 3 N 5 particles, depending on the synthetic method, starting materials, and nitridation conditions, were examined in detail. Flux-assisted nitridation was found to be a facile one-step route to a metal nitride with morpholo…

Analysis of chorismate mutase catalysis by QM/MM modelling of enzyme-catalysed and uncatalysed reactions

Frederik Claeyssens、Kara E. Ranaghan、Narin Lawan 等 7 位作者2010-11-23Organic & Biomolecular Chemistry

Chorismate mutase is at the centre of current controversy about fundamental features of biological catalysts. Some recent studies have proposed that catalysis in this enzyme does not involve transition state (TS) stabilization but instead is due largely to the formation of a reactive conformation of the substrate. To…

Computational Study of Edge Configuration and Quantum Confinement Effects on Graphene Nanoribbon Transport

Ryūtaro Sako、Hiroshi Hosokawa、Hideaki Tsuchiya2010-11-23IEEE Electron Device Letters

We investigated edge configuration and quantum confinement effects on electron transport in armchair-edged graphene nanoribbons (A-GNRs) by using a computational approach. We found that the edge bond relaxation has a significant influence not only on the bandgap energy but also on the electron effective mass. We also…
