Oxide ion diffusion in optimised LAMOX materials

Samuel Georges、Stephen J. Skinner、Phillippe Lacorre 等 4 位作者2004-01-01Dalton Transactions

A series of optimised materials in the family with parent compound La(2)Mo(2)O(9) have been studied using the isotope exchange depth profile technique and SIMS analysis. The data collected indicate that the oxide ion diffusion coefficients in both the parent compound and optimised materials are significantly higher th…

Sharali Malik、Harald Rösner、Frank Hennrich 等 7 位作者2004-01-01Physical Chemistry Chemical Physics

The mechanical properties of free standing films of as prepared and acid purified single-walled carbon nanotubes were studied by means of tensile stress measurements as well as electron microscopy. Films appear to fail by crack propagation involving rupture or matrix pull-out of bridging nanotube bundles.

An overview of advances in heat conduction models and approaches for prediction of thermal conductivity in thin dielectric films

Christianne V. D. R. Anderson、Kumar K. Tamma2004-01-01International Journal of Numerical Methods for Heat &amp Fluid Flow

We first provide an overview of some predominant theoretical methods currently used for predicting thermal conductivity of thin dielectric films: the equation of radiative transfer, the temperature‐dependent thermal conductivity theories based on the Callaway model, and the molecular dynamics simulation. This overview…

A comparison of water adsorption on ordered and disordered silica substrates

Joël Puibasset、Roland J.‐M. Pellenq2004-01-01Physical Chemistry Chemical Physics

The adsorption properties of water adsorbed on various silica substrates are investigated by way of Grand Canonical Monte Carlo simulations (GCMC). The SPC and PN-TrAZ potential are used to describe water–water and water–silica interactions. The numerical sample of mesoporous silica glass (pore size: 3.6 nm) was obtai…
