Room-Temperature Spin Crossover Observed for [(TPyA)FeII(DBQ2-)FeII(TPyA)]2+ [TPyA = Tris(2-pyridylmethyl)amine; DBQ2- = 2,5-Di-tert-butyl-3,6-dihydroxy-1,4-benzoquinonate]

Dinuclear [(TPyA)FeII(DBQ2-)FeII(TPyA)](BF4)2 possesses extensive pi-pi interactions between the FeII dimers that give rise to a two-dimensional supramolecular sheet structure. The magnetic susceptibility shows a room-temperature spin-crossover behavior; however, thermal hysteresis is not observed.

Jian Zhang、Yi Fu、Joseph R. Lakowicz2007-01-13The Journal of Physical Chemistry C

Labeled silica beads with an average diameter of 100 nm were synthesized by incorporating with 20-600 μM Ru(bpy)(3) (2+) complexes. Silver shells were deposited on the beads layer-by-layer with the shell thickness of 5-50 nm. The emission band became narrower and the intensity was enhanced depending on the shell thick…

Yinghong Qiao、Dong Wang、Jillian M. Buriak2007-01-13Nano Letters

The use of self-assembled polymer structures to direct the formation of mesoscopic (1-100 nm) features on silicon could provide a fabrication-compatible means to produce nanoscale patterns, supplementing conventional lithographic techniques. Here we demonstrate nanoscale etching of silicon, applying standard aqueous-b…
