製材の強度に寸法効果が存在することは国際的にも知られているが,我が国の軸組構法の構造部材として使用される構造用製材の規格に寸法調整係数は採用されていない。そこで,スギ製材の曲げ強度に対する寸法効果を明らかにするため,丸太からサイドマッチング及びエンドマッチングによって試験体を採取し,曲げ強度に及ぼす材せい及び材幅の影響について検討した。材せいの影響は,材幅を140mmに一定として材せいを300mm,170mm,105mmの3種類について,材幅の影響は材せいを150mmに一定として材幅を150mm,105mmの2種類について,それぞれ標準試験条件によって曲げ試験を実施した。その結果,曲げ強度の平均値は材せいの減少にしたがって増加する…
