高耐食性Ti添加フェライトステンレス鋼において,Ti炭窒化物が孔食の起点となり得ると報告されてきた.しかし,Ti炭窒化物に関する孔食発生前後の観点での観察例はほとんどない.そのため,Ti炭窒化物周辺の孔食発生挙動の理解は未だ不十分である.そこで本研究は,定電位型溶液中AFM観察を行うことによりTi炭窒化物周辺の孔食発生挙動を明らかにすることを目的とした.その結果,圧延や研磨によりTi炭窒化物 / 素地境界に形成された深さ数十nm,幅数百nmのすき間を起点に孔食が発生することを明らかにした.そして時間の経過と共に,孔食は素地側の深さ方向に進展した.

ノリの色落ち原因珪藻 Asteroplanus karianus の出現動態と環境要因との関係を調べるため,2007 年 12 月から 2012 年 3 月に有明海佐賀県海域で,植物プランクトン組成および各種環境要因を調査した。また,高水温および低水温条件下における本種の増殖および発芽特性を室内試験で調べた。その結果,本種は冬季にのみ赤潮を形成することが確認された。また,本種の増殖速度は低水温よりも高水温条件下で高いことが確認されたが,底泥中の休眠期細胞が発芽に要する時間は低水温条件下で短いことが示唆された。
