A new theoretical equation for temperature dependent self-diffusion coefficients of pure liquid metals

George Kaptay2008-01-01International Journal of Materials Research (formerly Zeitschrift fuer Metallkunde)

Abstract A unified equation on the viscosity of pure liquid metals (published recently by the author) is combined with the well-known Sutherland – Einstein equation to obtain a new equation for the temperature dependence of the self-diffusion coefficients of pure liquid metals. The equation does not contain new adjust…

Investigation of ZnO as a perspective material for photonics

Volodymyr Khranovskyy、G. Reza Yazdi、G. V. Lashkarev 等 5 位作者2008-01-01physica status solidi (a)

Abstract Emissive properties of ZnO are of great interests in terms of the UV LED device design. The persistent “green” luminescence due to deep defect is an obstacle for obtaining an intense UV emission, expected from ZnO. We report the positive role of thermally diffused H toward quenching the defect emission in ZnO…

Electrosynthesis of manganese oxide films

Junjun Wei、Igor Zhitomirsky2008-01-01Surface Engineering

Nanostructured manganese oxide films for electrochemical supercapacitors were obtained by cathodic electrosynthesis from aqueous NaMnO 4 solutions. The proposed deposition mechanism is based on cathodic reduction of MnO 4 − species. The amount of the deposited material has been controlled by the variation of depositio…

Local Nonequilibrium Effect on Spinodal Decomposition in a Binary System

P. K. Galenko、Владимир Лебедев2008-01-01elib (German Aerospace Center)

A model for diffusion and phase separation which takes into account relaxation of the atomic diffusion flux to its local equilibrium state is explored. This model is described by a partial differential equation of a hyperbolic type that can be called “a hyperbolic model for spinodal decomposition&amp…

HYDROGEN EMBRITTLEMENT EVALUATION IN TENSILE PROPERTIES OF STAINLESS STEELS AT CRYOGENIC TEMPERATURES

Tetsuya Ogata、U. Balachandran、Kathleen Amm 等 11 位作者2008-01-01AIP conference proceedings

The advanced design of fuel‐cell vehicles requires high‐pressure low‐temperature hydrogen systems, which in turn requires a high‐pressure low‐temperature mechanical properties database to address hydrogen embrittlement issues. A very simple and safe mechanical properties testing procedure to evaluate low temperature h…
