Growth Mechanism and Field Emission Properties of Nickel Nanocones Array Fabricated by One-Step Electrodeposition

Tao Hang、Huiqin Ling、Anmin Hu 等 4 位作者2010-01-01Journal of The Electrochemical Society

Large-scale nickel nanocones array are synthesized by a one-step electrodeposition method without any template. The size and apex angle of nanocone can be controlled by changing the current density and deposition time. The mechanism of the formation of nanocones array morphology has been discussed. This nanocones arra…

Hydrothermal synthesis of sodium potassium niobate solid solutions at 200 °C

Albertus D. Handoko、Gregory K. L. Goh2010-01-01Green Chemistry

For the first time, a series of sodium potassium niobate solid solutions with compositions around the morphotropic phase boundary (MPB) are hydrothermally synthesized at 200 °C using a simple KOH and NaOH mixture with Nb2O5 as a precursor powder. Rietveld refinement of X-ray diffraction data indicated the presence of…

Self-assembly of end-tethered nanorods in a neat system and role of block fractions and aspect ratio

Mark A. Horsch、Zhenli Zhang、Sharon C. Glotzer2010-01-01Soft Matter

We report a computational study of the self-assembly of end-tethered nanorods in a neat system (no solvent). We present morphological phase diagrams for low and moderate aspect ratio rods as a function of inverse temperature vs. relative tether fraction. Our simulations predict that the end-tethered rods self-assemble…

Suyin Zhang、Yanlin Huang、Hyo Jin Seo2010-01-01Journal of The Electrochemical Society

A green-emitting phosphor, Eu 2 + -activated KCaPO 4 , was synthesized by a conventional solid-state reaction. The phase formation was confirmed by X-ray powder diffraction measurements. The photoluminescence excitation and emission spectra, the temperature-dependent luminescence intensities (293–438 K), and decay cur…

The Silkworm-An Attractive BioResource Supplied by Japan

Yutaka Banno、Toru Shimada、Zenta Kajiura 等 4 位作者2010-01-01EXPERIMENTAL ANIMALS

Silkworms have played an important agricultural role in supporting Japan's modernization, and traditionally, Japan has led the world as a repository of silkworm bioresources. The silkworm is a small and highly domesticated insect, which is ideal as a laboratory tool, although it is a bioresource that is relatively inf…

Behzad Shahmoradi、Kohei Soga、S. Ananda 等 5 位作者2010-01-01Nanoscale

The morphology and particle size of neodymium-doped ZnO hybrid nanoparticles were tailored through fabrication under mild hydrothermal conditions (T = 150-250 degrees C, P = autogeneous, t = 18 h) for the first time using two surface modifiers: caprylic acid and n-butylamine. Characterization of these nanoparticles wa…

The thermal expansion along the principal crystallographic axes of the (NH4)2WO2F4 and (NH4)2MoO2F4 oxyfluorides has been studied. The anomalous behavior of α i (T) due to the phase transitions has been revealed at T 1 = 271.4 K and T 2 ≈ 180 K for the molybdate and at T 1 = 201.5 K and T 2 ≈ 161 K for the tungstate.…
