It has been shown that a matrix M(t, n−4, n) is reducible over a local principle ideal ring of length two if n > 5. Here M(t, k, n) = Φ ( Ik 0 0 tIn􀀀k ) , where Φ is the companion matrix for λn − 1, t is a generator of the Jacobson radical, Ik is the identity k × k-matrix.
